Saturday, June 24: 9:30-11:30 am: Welcome to the Art of Henna

What is Henna? Where does it come from? How do you make it? How do you apply it? How do you care for it? All these questions and more along with the history of the henna art form will be covered. There will be ample time for hands on application of your own design! We will also add in some fun glitter and bling twists! Each student will receive one henna cone and henna information packet.
Skill level: All skill levels.

Stella studied ballet, tap, and jazz from age three through her teen years. She continued to dance, but was more focused on her fine art studies and family. Later, she began to take formal dance classes again - this time Belly Dance! She also took Zambra Mora. Under instructor Julie Flanders’s instruction, the true art and history was passed down. In 2012, Stella acquired skills in making and applying henna from Michele Boardman at 3rd Coast Tribal Fest. She continues her studies through practice and perfecting her skills.
