2024 Attendee WELCOME and Information


Thank you for being apart of The ABDC 2024! We are excited to have you join us. We hope you are looking forward to a weekend of dancing, zilling, learning and meeting up with the each other again! 

This information document should help provide some details on the location for Classes on Friday and Saturday. Along with some information about the Gala Show on Satruday night, “Fall for Bellydance,” which is produced in partnership with the Austin Bellydance Association. Classes on Sundays are all online using ZOOM and in Central Time Zone.

GENERAL INFORMATION

Dates: September 27-29, 2024 (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday)

Location:

  • Dance by Carly & Austin Ecstatic Dance Center

  • 10203 Old Manchaca Rd, Austin, TX 78748

    • (YES!! They are next door to each other)

Parking: 

  • FREE parking is located behind the building with a walk way to the front doors. (Blue circle). 

  • Access parking is available in front of building on Old Manchaca Rd.

  • Front door to access classes and vending area is on Old Manchaca Rd (Yellow Highlight)

Nourishment: 

  • There will be a bottled water station inside Austin Ecstatic Dance Center

  • There is a 1-hour lunch break between class sessions to allow everyone to get a lunch locally

Check-in: 

  • Please come to the registration table inside Austin Ecstatic Dance Center

  • All participants need to sign the ABDC 2024 Release Form and Attendee Questionaire at check-in

  • You will receive your wristbands for the classes over Friday and Saturday

  • Sunday classes should receive an email on Saturday with ZOOM information, or reach out to Tatianadances@gmail.com for assistance.

Gala Show:

  • Austin Bellydance Association is partnering with the ABDC for 2024 Saturday night.

    • Location: The Dougherty Arts Center

    • When: Door opens at 630pm, Show starts at 7 pm

  • The Dougherty Arts Center theatre is approximately 20 minutes from the dance studio where classes are being held.

  • ABA members can get there discount tickets with this link, https://www.abda.org/fallforbellydance2024

  • Tickets can also be purchased with this link to  the ABDC Event Brite page, 

  • Tickets MIGHT available at the theater in person for purchase.

VENDOR INFORMATION

  • All vending space will be in Austin Ecstatic Dance Center

  • Vending is open from 9 am till 430 pm on Saturday only

  • Vending area is open to the public, so bring your friends

  • Classes will be ongoing in the same space as the vendors

CLASS INFORMATION

  • Classes are split between both dance studio locations

  • There are mirrors on one wall in each class room

  • Class rooms do have dance flooring, yet it is suggested to bring foot wear

  • Bring your water bottle. Bottled water station will be in Austin Ecstatic Dance Center

  • Class Tickets can be purchased on site by using our Event Brite link

  • Classes will be ongoing in the same space as the vendors

    • 930 am - Instructor check in at Austin Ecstatic Dance Center

    • 10 am - Morning Classes starts - Ending at 12 pm

All classes are on ZOOM and in Central Time Zone. All instructors are welcome to join, just need to know so we can send you an email with ZOOM info.

SHOW TIME!!!

Fall for Belly Dance

  • Get ready to "Fall for Belly Dance" at an enchanting evening hosted by the Austin Belly Dance Convention (ABDC) and the Austin Bellydance Association (ABA)! Join us on September 28, 2024, at 7 PM at the Dougherty Arts Center for a showcase that celebrates the magic of belly dance featuring instructors from the Convention as well as members of the Association. Immerse yourself in the rhythm and elegance of belly dance as we welcome the fall season with flair.
