Get ready to "Fall for Belly Dance" at an enchanting evening hosted by

The Austin Belly Dance Convention (The ABDC) and the Austin Bellydance Association (ABA)!

Join us on September 28, 2024, at 7:00pm at the Dougherty Arts Center for a showcase that celebrates the magic of belly dance featuring instructors from the Convention as well as members of the Association.

Immerse yourself in the rhythm and elegance of belly dance as we welcome the fall season with flair.

  • Doors open at 6:30pm, show starts at 7:00pm but seating is limited, so sign up early.

  • Current members of the Austin Bellydance Association receive one free ticket. Get your free ticket at this website and follow the discount instructions. ABA-ABDC_2024.eventbrite.com

  • Sign up to become a member or check your membership online.

  • For members to receive the discount, use the email associated with your ABDA membership as the "promo code".

Parking & Transportation

  • Parking is limited. The front lot has 27 spaces and the side lot has approximately 50.

  • Bus lines and walk times from the bus stop to the DAC: Bus #30 ~3min; Bus #803/3 ~4-6min; Bus#1/7/10/20/801 ~10-12min

Access Information

  • Audience wheelchair access. Contact the ABDC ahead of time that you’ll need a wheelchair spot in the audience so we can arrange one. 

  • Performer wheelchair access. Contact the ABDC ahead of time that you’ll need access so we can arrange a ramp to be placed from the loading dock directly to the backstage area. 

  • Accessible bathrooms. Upstairs from the main gallery. 

  • Accessible elevator. Available.

  • Service Animals. Only identified leashed or harnessed service animals are allowed.

  • Access parking. There is one dedicated access space to the west of the main entrance facing Barton Springs Rd.

  • Drop Off and Pick Up. At the front entrance. There are no outside benches, but there is a shady stone wall where people can sit. The gallery space does have benches inside and as the front entrance is mostly windows, people can see when their ride arrives.

  • Quiet space. There is no designated quiet space.

  • Hearing augmentation system. There is no hearing augmentation system.
